This delightful bed and breakfast is located right on beautiful Matanchen Bay in Nayarit, Mexico. Our guest bungalows have windows overlooking the ocean. The secluded beach in front of your bungalow is perfect for long walks and swimming year-round - and our secluded garden is perfect for reading and just plain relaxing in our lounges or hammocks and sunbathing too! And let us not forget our roof top special sun bathing area with it's screened privacy fence. Your hearty breakfast can be enjoyed in your room or out on the patio.Early risers can enjoy watching the sun come up with the palm trees and Sierra Madres forming a beautiful backdrop. All this as you walk along the beach enjoying the sounds and sights of the Pacific Ocean. An evening stroll along the beach and you can see some of the most beautiful sun sets ever!

GETTING HERE

We are located, 2 miles from the plaza in the town of Aticama, at #37 Bahia de Matanchen across the road from the Engineering and Fishing School. Our parking area is 85 miles north of the airport in Puerto Vallarta. Three buses run daily from and to Puerto Vallarta or you can rent a car, or take a taxi for around $100 USD. All of the buses stop in front of our B&B.

LOCAL TRANSPORTATION

Buses run by about every 20 minutes that can take you to other beautiful beaches and sightseeing attractions around the area. The buses which go by our B&B make connections to buses that can take you all over the Nation of Mexico.

ATTRACTIONS

Enjoy the wildlife on the jungle boat ride where you can see crocodiles, iguanas, turtles and many species of birds, ending up at a tropical fresh water spring for a swim. San Blas is best known for being the most popular destination for birding in Mexico, including wetlands,estuaries,mangroves, banana plantations, palm forest, temperate cloud forest, each with their collection of birds. Visit historic San Blas where you can get a view of the whole town from a 300 year old Spanish fort. Or you can go to the ecotourism village of Singayta where you can see the traditional palapa houses of Nayarit and have a glimpse of their lifestyle. This and more makes the perfect 3 day getaway from Puerto Vallarta. Aticama is a small village located right on beautiful Matanchen Bay in Nayarit, Mexico. The secluded sandy beach stretches for miles and is a very peaceful place to swim, walk or just relax. On the weekends Mexican families arrive to picnic, enjoy a game of soccer or a swim. I recommend a walk down the beach to Aticama for supper. If you time it right you can enjoy a spectacular sunset along the way. After a pleasant meal in a local restaurant you can enjoy a romantic walk back by starlight.
